Liverpool have released the 3rd shirt in time for the 2011/2012 Premier League season. The new Liverpool 3rd shirt is styled in a stunning white, black and cyan blue, the introduction of blue to the kit is sure to cause a stir amongst the Anfield faithful.

The Liverpool 3rd shirt features a design that’s very different to any of this seasons shirt releases, the introduction of blue isn’t just a random addition, Liverpool in the past have worn blue in their football tops, albeit about 120 years ago.

The main body of the Liverpool shirt is styled in white and features a black and white Liverpool club badge on the left chest, the Adidas logo is just under the neckline and is coloured in cyan blue, this makes way for the black and blue stripes that run from the neck to the underarm on the right side on the chest.

The Adidas 3 stripes run down the shoulders in blue, the sleeves also feature a blue trim at cuff, to finish the Liverpool 3rd shirt off the Standard Charter logo is printed on the centre of the shirt. The big question is will the Liverpool fans accept the introduction of blue in one of their kits?
