Launched today is the new Manchester United Home Shirt and Kit for wear in the 2011/2012 Premiership and European football season. Designed with input from Sir Alex himself, this strip is a straight forward, no nonsense strip that takes a look to strips of the past.

The Manchester United Home Shirt is a solid red shirt, with only a white and black collar to offer some contrast. The badge used has been stripped down and the Sponsor and Nike logos are bold white to ensure a classic look versus some of the busier designs from other teams this year.

The shorts from this new kit are block white, with the smallest black strips on the outer thigh to match the shirts collar. Likewise, the socks are plain black, with small red and white trim on the foldover again there to match the design on the shorts and socks, without clutter.
