With the changes in French football in recent years, and especially since the World Cup, it is no wonder that the FFF desided it was time for a new kit, and new kit sponsor. Step in Nike, who have developed a new football kit which symbolises both the change in French football, and its heritage.
Designed to be inspirational and interact with players and fans alike, the new France Home Shirt blends the teams traditional features a modern, form fittingĀ cut, a deeper blue than the standard Tricolore blue, and red in sleeves which are designed to be worn as per each players preferrence.
Not only has style been taken into account, but performance is key to any national team football kit. A new “polycotton” material has been developed, using recycled plastic bottles and blending the material with organic cotton to mix the best of performance and feel from both materials.
The material provides more movement and stretch than other shirts, so players do not feel uncomfortable in the new closer to the skin design.
The collar on this shirt is smaller than the typical button football shirt, adding to its slim profile while maintaining a somehwat traditional or classic look which suits the French style.
Finally, one of the larger changes of note is the badge, which has been stripped down and is thermally bonded instead of embroidered for a bolder look and better feel.
As a kit, the new Franch Home Strip is a true reflection of the Tricolore, with simple white shorts and red socks which are both as understated in design as the shirt, but again they feature all of Nike’s latest technologies in terms of comfort and performance.
The new France Home Kit in adult and junior ranges is available from ACA Sports Limited.
