After a hard couple of weeks, the thaw appears to have started! And this is helping speed up all orders. The recent trouble on the in the west coast has obvoiusly caused problems with major motorways being shut two days in a row, but all in all services are returning to some state of normal.
We are receiving all of our deliveries again and suppliers have nearly caught up, and courier pickups have brought us up to date with all orders ready for dispatch.

As many of you will have noticed, the weather in parts of the UK has been record breaking over the last 10 or so days, and unfortuantely, ACA Sports are in an area which has been heavily affected by several feet of snowfall. As a result, both our processing of orders and the shipping once we dispatch them, has been affected.
Staff Shortages
Currently, we are working on orders with a 2 day back-log, mostly due to the fact we have been operating at as low as 25% staff levels for parts of the week, and have never managed to get a full compliment of staff into the office, apart from today! We have gained the use of a 4×4 and have shuttled staff into work from a 20 mile radius!
That said, we have found out that there will be no pick up from our couriers today as the Fife area is has seen snow fall since around 6am and there has been no let up, around another 15cm of snow. While this stops us getting orders out, we will have the chance to catch up and get more orders picked, ready for tomorrow when we hope Royal Mail and City Link services are again operating.
Royal Mail and Courier Updates
For orders that have been succesfully dispatched, we have been in contact with our couriers and Royal Mail and they too are having issues which are resulting in parcels staying in depots. Low staff and poor accessibility to back roads and streets is meaning much of the mail and delivery services throughout the snow affected parts of the UK has a large back log.
Order Updates
Please note, that we only update orders to dispatched once they have been picked up, they may well be ready to go but we are currently at the mercy of the delivery service and weather. If there have been other issues, not related to the delays caused by the weather, we will have notified you so if you have not recieved anything of this nature, your order should be on track for dispatch and delivery when posssible.
We hope this will help alleviate some worries about the whereabouts of orders, and while much of the delay is outwith our control, we do apologise for the inconvenience being caused.
