The new Nike Mercurial Vapor VI and Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II have been launched, and they both feature major new changes from previous models, including the price!
The Nike Mercurial Vapor VI
On the chassis you will find a new Vapor Traction design which involves a whole new look set of firm ground studs which are multi-directional for improved grip. Added to this is Toe-off traction, a series of small spike in the toe area, taking inspiration from running spikes, which increases grip to offer explosive pace from a standing start.
Features which have continued from the previous models of Nike Mercurial Vapor are the Teijin Microfibre upper which offers lightweight comfort and support, along with the concealed lacing system for a better strike surface.
Possibly the biggest change though, is the price. The Nike Mercurial Vapor VI are now listed at £180, a price which was previously held by the elite Superfly. Whether or not the increased price will put players off is yet to be seen, but it leaves the question – how much are the Superfly II going to be then?
